Equine Herbals Comfrey Root

This formula contains a liquid extract of Comfrey Root.

Comfrey is a herb that has a long history of use in European Herbal medicine.  It is very high in mucilage so is used to sooth the gut in a similar way to Marshmallow or Slippery Elm.  It is also rich in allantoin which can support as a natural alternative for healing of damaged tissue.  It is very efficient in its action and has been very popular to support as a natural alternative for assisting with broken bones or damaged tendons.

Comfrey is rich in many nutrients including protein and vitamins and the leaves are a common part of the diet of some ethnic groups.

Suggested dose 5 - 10ml twice daily.

Directions for feeding:  Horses generally find this herb palatable.  It can be given directly into the mouth or mixed with food.
